Overview
Hack4Impact pairs student product teams with nonprofits to build software for real organizational needs. I work with engineers, designers, a tech lead, and a project manager, following a GitHub-based engineering workflow with scoped tasks, code review, and client feedback throughout the cycle.
Spring 2026 — Reforest Trees
A Peru-based reforestation nonprofit building a Web3-backed platform to give donors verifiable, traceable impact. The platform connects donations directly to individual trees using blockchain and decentralized storage.
What I built
- Built the donation allocation system that assigns donor money to trees as they are verified and added to a project.
- Added the photo upload system for tree updates, with drag-and-drop support, file validation, and automatic image metadata extraction.
- Created admin donation views that show donor pseudonyms, donation amounts, dates, allocation status, and which trees each donation supports.
- Developed project setup and archive tools so admins could create, submit, and safely archive reforestation projects without losing project history.
- Implemented donor account features, including signup, login, password changes, and account-management utilities.
- Turned Figma designs into responsive React pages for login, signup, project forms, tree updates, and image modals.
